Only days after Kanye and Kim announce the name of their new baby girl (“North West”… named in honor of Seattle-based OASIS Answers… little known fact), home health providers catch the first glimpse of our new baby, OASIS-C1. Her notice of arrival appeared in the Federal Register on Friday, but we got our first peek at her today, weighing in at 110 items.
- She has rosy new items that have been restructured and reworded to accommodate the transition from the ICD-9-CM to the ICD-10-CM code set,
- She’s some what thinner than her OASIS-C sibling, having dropped data collection of some of “C’s” items at some or all time points,
- She has some darling new “M” items that are healthier versions of their “C” predecessors, and
- She’s just undergone some nice general clean up to some existing “M’s”.
OASIS-C1 is expected to have her formal implementation debut October 1, 2014, but you have until August 20, 2013 to let the proud parents know what you think of their little “-C1”. Send your questions, comments or concerns their way at www.regulations.gov.
Check her out here... (note, her nickname is CMS-R-245)
From what I’ve seen so far, I think she’s going to be adorable.
