OASIS-C Guidance Manual

A convenient hard copy of the new, streamlined version of the original OASIS Implementation Manual, the OASIS-C Guidance Manual was developed by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) and its contractors and contains content most relevant for home health agencies’ efforts in implementing OASIS-C, with emphasis on item guidance.

New CMS reference released September 2009, contains:

	Chapter 1 – Introduction
	Chapter 2 – Version of the OASIS-C data set for each time point
	Chapter 3 – Item-specific guidance, subdivided into sections
	Chapter 4 – Sample OASIS-C integrated comprehensive assessments
	Chapter 5 – Relevant Resources
	Appendices: included sections on OBQI, OASIS regulations, data accuracy, and Appendix D (formerly Attachment D) related to diagnosis coding for OASIS-C.
